How we test

ToolsVetted exists because most software reviews are rewritten press releases. Ours come from actually using the tools. Here is exactly how we reach a verdict, including where the limits are.

01

We get hands on the product

Through NoctoDesk we deploy AI and automation tools on real business workflows: support inboxes, CRMs, booking flows, automations. For tools we run for clients, the verdict comes from production use. For tools outside our day-to-day, we set them up ourselves on a real test workflow rather than judging from a demo. We tell you which is which.

02

We measure what the pricing page hides

Setup time, the true monthly cost once you add the seats/AI/usage that real teams need, where the AI actually helps versus adds buttons, and the gaps you only find after week two. Numbers, not adjectives.

03

We write a plain-spoken verdict

Who it is for, who should skip it, and the one alternative worth a look. If a tool is wrong for most readers, we say so, even when it pays a commission.

04

We date it and revisit it

Every review carries a 'last tested' date. Pricing and features in this category change monthly, so we re-check and update rather than letting reviews rot.

Where the money comes from, plainly

ToolsVetted is reader-supported. Some links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes a ranking or a verdict: a tool that is wrong for you gets told the truth whether or not it pays. See our full disclosure.
